Stilla Havet
Elias Eriksson started his musical journey as the frontman of the Stockholm band Boris & the Jeltsins. After two brilliant albums he started working with other artists, and an idea of a solo project was born. Now Stilla Havet is a duo with his trusted partner August Borg and they are making the best new wave around, or as Swedish television described their music ”neon kraut”.
Cutting through metropolitan midnights pushing on a dark autobahn outside cologne with the Cure, New Order in the stereo, STILLA HAVET launch a new take on contemporary life. Language barriers a side, there is something fundamentally interpersonal in the grops expression, be it in their frantic shows in Shibuya, Kiev, Berlin or Paris.
As Iggy Pop said to the group; “you are way too young to sound that good”, and indeed Stilla Havet includes both contemporary dance rhythms and vintage raw-power energy.
