15 Year Anniversary Highlights

We continue to highlight gems from our catalogue as part of our 15 year anniversary and this week we shine the light on Everyday Mistakes superb dark pop album ’Obscure Lanes’. The fact that it took seven years to complete the album is proof of Mattias’ tenacity or, as many would call it, perfectionism. However, it’s not that strange if you consider this is an artist who is as inspired by producers (Joe Meek, Jack Nitzsche, Martin Hannett, Brian Wilson, Phil Spector) and their soundscapes as of other music. Then it is clear you’d want it to sound exactly as you have imagined it in your head. https://frontl.ink/jmkbw5v

”If we come to picking out highlights, it would have to depend on the mood you’re in or the atmosphere you wish to create. There are majestic, galloping alt-rock tracks and there are those with a bleaker outlook, but no less excitement and intrigue found in them. Really though, just stick the whole album on. It deserves to be heard in full and will struggle not to impress the socks of you.” Kev (The Sound of Confusion)

”It is an album with a lot of emotions, affecting you and is difficult to stop listening to.” Mattias Gustavsson (IKON)
