The song embodies the image of an old love that rises from their grave and suddenly stands outside your door like a living dead. It’s still the person you once loved, but something has changed, and it will never be like it was. It’s unpleasant but very familiar. You try to forget, performing rituals and incantations, but the next night he/she still stands outside the door anyway. And you want so badly to be the great love that no one can ever move on from, that megalomania you so easily can be affected by, when you want to be the center of the earth even though everyone else has moved on, that’s exactly what the band wanted to capture with this song.
