In 2016, Daniel and Joel decided to carry out a musical dogma project. To meet, write and record a song every Wednesday night. Then release it as a cassette album, regardless of the result. ’Mental Preparation’ was thrown over humanity in 2017.

After years of musical PTSD, in silence, Daniel and Joel’s paths crossed again in 2024. This time they decided to make an album based on the opposite premises. No rules. Creativity was allowed to rule freely, taking its time and space.

The old Avfall still lived on the hope of a more reasonable world, the new Avfall has retreated and turned to art as the only way forward. The industrial post-punk has now been transfigured into psychedelic darkrock.
