On the southern shore of Lake Vättern there is a prophet named after a trotting horse. Ego Boy’s words hit hard. Anyone who has ever been in a fight knows what I mean. The heat after the fist in the face. The pain in the solar plexus. Raging adrenaline. Shaky limbs. I don’t want to paint Knivderby’s music as violently romantic. But the band’s hard punk rock in combination with Ego Boy’s words makes the whole thing something old testament. A love message with blood on the knuckles.
